CITY MARKET OF LA HISTORY

City Market Social House is part the City Market of Los Angeles. The original sprawling produce market operated from 1909-2009 and spanned more than six acres.

Owned by a cooperative of produce merchants for over 100 years, the revitalized City Market South development features hot LA restaurants Dama, Rossoblu and Superfine Pizza, and headquarters for the AGBO Production Studios. The campus is a welcome respite amid the hustle of DTLA’s Fashion District.

The vintage charm of the historic buildings has been carefully restored and adorned with modern amenities to service your every need, and the open canvas of the loft-like contemporary warehouse with stunning vaulted bow-truss ceilings, exposed brick walls, and free-flowing indoor-outdoor design allows you to paint the perfect picture for your guests’ custom experience.

DTLA

Over the past decade, the pulsating core of the city of Los Angeles has undergone a cultural rebirth that has taken it from its concrete jungle, business center roots to a vibrant, multi-district, must-see spot.

The opening of the LA Live district in 2007 around the Staples Center, sparked an infrastructure renaissance that changed DTLA and paved the way for the burgeoning arts and culinary scenes to thrive. From trailblazing restaurants and world class art, DTLA is ready to thrill, inspire and entertain.

While sporting events, entertainment and fine dining abound, Downtown Los Angeles hasn’t lost its hip factor.  Residents and frequent visitors are in the know…tourists and newcomers arrive with the distinct impression that they’ve just been let in on So Cal’s coolest secret.
